A Bit About Robert Clark

Robert has deeply personal reasons behind his passion for disability income planning. When Robert was a child his father was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and could no longer sustain a career. If the family hadn’t had disability insurance, they might have lost everything. Robert wants everyone to enjoy the kind of protection his father’s insurance provided to his family. 

A genuine concern for each client’s long-term financial health.

Robert’s philosophy is simple: Advice First.

Following a discovery process that includes a thorough examination and analysis of each client’s financial situation, Robert explains and simplifies potential, often complex financial options. Should a policy be appropriate, the strong relationships Robert has cultivated with clients means he’s able to maintain regular communication and make any necessary adjustments in the future.

Robert provides disability income planning advice as a specialized resource for advisors within financial management and employee benefit firms across the United States. Based in Southern California, Robert operates as a west coast extension for the notable disability general agency, PGT.

Prior to his current role, Robert managed the west coast region for a U.S. based Lloyd’s of London coverholder. Spending 8 years in this capacity allowed Robert to become the go-to professional in advanced disability planning solutions.

Robert is deeply involved with local philanthropic efforts, and sits on the boards of several regional charities. He’s also the host of the Advice First podcast, where he and his guests share advice about insurance, financial planning, and more. He has been an invited speaker at financial planning gatherings with audiences numbering more than 400, and has been recognized by Santa Clarita Magazine as an Ultimate Rising Star and as a member of the publication’s 2019 40 Under 40.
